Pull’n’Catch® system is giving us great satisfactions every day, in this case for contaminated air filtration system !

The request to apply it not only in our historical sectors, but also in new one, demonstrates how this system can be applied everywhere and solve particular problems so far without solution, or with very expensive solutions.

We have published a new case history in Suction area that solved the problem of contaminated air near operators due to an hutment glue manual operation.

In the video, we have used an artificial smoke to better understand how the air moves and the result was achieve avoiding that the contaminated air (from the solvents) arrive to the face of the operators.

PULL’n’CATCH® is a new air suction and filtering system that completes GreenBlow® air line, which combines accuracy and precision in cleaning with high safety standards in industrial environments.

GENERAL INTRODUCTION

GreenBlow® air line, also including the suction and filtering part, allows you to create a PUSH’PULL’n’ CATCH® system as it includes all components – blowers and air knives (PUSH), hood (PULL) and cyclones (CATCH) – necessary to create a system able to eliminate residues and dust from different surfaces with precision and accuracy, thus ensuring a high quality of the final product.

Furthermore, thanks to the use of HEPA filters and Predictive Maintenance systems that signal the need to replace the filters, it ensures high safety standards for workers by contrasting the inhalation of potentially carcinogenic substances such as PM2.5PM10, Free crystalline silica and favoring the elimination of bacteria and viruses (including Covid-19) from the workplace.

PUSH’PULL’n’ CATCH® it’s a stand alone and modular system: the various components can be easily assembled and used individually even on existing systems, adapting to customer needs.

MAIN FEATURES

Complete range that offer a complete solutions for air blowing, suction and filtering suitable for different sectors (ceramics, glass, marble, stone,  food & beverage, etc…) and can be integrated into existing systems.
(PUSH) The air flow is generated by a low energy consumption centrifugal blowers equipped with IE3 and IE4 efficiency class motors, together with an air knife  .
(PULL) The suction hood  is made up of an intake manifold in plastic material to which 2 lateral aluminum profiles are combined which can be supplied with customized lengths to adapt to any line.
(CATCH) The cyclone removes most of the dust sucked by the hood from the incoming air flow and can be configured both with an integrated tank and with an outlet pipe that can be connected to a centralized tank.

High air quality in the workplace: HEPA filter, inserted downstream of the cyclone and upstream of the blower, removes most of the bacteria and viruses present in it from the air flow. Furthermore, the inverter of the PULL’N’CATCH system is distinguished by a predictive maintenance system that allows you to warn when the HEPA filter needs to be replaced. This allows a highly purified air flow to be reintroduced into the circulation and guarantees the healthiness of the workplace.

Highly configurable: The system provides different configurations, based on the system and customer requests. It can be supplied in a stand-alone version (therefore without the need for external connections), or to be combined with the centralized suction system already present in the company. In addition, for maximum performance, it can be combined with our air knife but can also be equipped with only an suction hood and cyclone.

The main features of the line:

PULL’n’CATCH® is a new system that integrates FM’s GreenBlow® air line consisting of blowers and air knives ( blowing “PUSH“) with new components for suction – suction hood (PULL) – and air filtration – cyclone and HEPA filter (CATCH).

The application of the Green Blow Air Line in the Food sector, and 4th Range industry (fruit and veggies processing) , has forced us to design components that comply with high hygiene standards against accidental contamination in food preparations.
The same standards are also required in the pharmaceutical industry which has the same needs.

This is the main objective of the new Blue Visual version which significantly reduces the risk of accidental contamination by foreign bodies in environments where cleanliness, hygiene and safety are essential requirements.

The Blue Visual line, compared to the standard one, is produced with technopolymers suitable for food contact, in Blue Color (RAL5005) and has all the screws and metal parts in stainless steel.

The blue material is widely used in the food industry as, due to its high visibility, it can be easily detected optically in line. Moreover, it is easier to determine the cleanliness of the components as spores, mold and residues of food and detergent are more visible on this color than on others.

The main features of the Blue Visual line:

  • Corrosion and chemical resistance:
    plastic materials which by definition do not present corrosion problems, and all the bolts and brackets made of stainless steel also guarantee chemical resistance (even if the use of strong bases and strong acids for cleaning is not recommended). The profiles used for the air knives are available on request in aluminum treated with hard anodizing for greater resistance;
  • Resistance to temperatures: the technopolymers used are suitable for temperatures of around 70°C, while electric motors and inverters should not exceed 60°C and 50°C respectively.
    These values refer to the temperature of the environment in which they are located. The treated product, on the other hand, can have much higher temperatures, the important thing is that there is no direct contact;
  • Surface finishes and cleanability: the surfaces of all the components of the line have limited roughness so as to allow maximum cleanability even with simple water.

The Green Blow Air Line is enriched by a new component:
T Coupling 100 M/M/M

This component provides greater flexibility to the system allowing to connect two air knives – or diffusers- to the same blower.

This solution is perfect in cases of small products, or in any case, where the air knives do not exceed a total length of 1500mm (total between the two air knives).

The particular geometry guarantees:
excellent uniformity of the outgoing air flow
reduction of turbulences and pressure drop

This component is compatible with all other products of the Green Blow Air Line.

The Green Blow air line, recently, has met with great success in the Food & Beverage sector where the recurring problems mainly concern drying in the pre-labeling phase or in any case after steam sterilization processes.

The growing applications made in this sector have led us to study a diffuser that could, in a small space, dry all the surfaces of the packaging.

In particular, one of the most difficult problems so far to solve was the drying of the upper part of the cans or the lower edge of the cap of the jars, in order to avoid the appearance of rust during storage in the warehouses.

Smart Blow, combined with the Green Blow Plus fan, eliminates this problem with a series of advantages.

 

 

SMART BLOW: a smart diffuser

Smart Blow is a highly customizable diffuser that brings together several advantages:

  • Effective drying: in a single station there are 3 diffusers (one upper and two laterals) which allow the drying of all the surfaces of the object;
  • Small dimensions: a single drying station need a space of only 600mm;
  • Versatility: with the same diffuser it is possible to dry objects with similar dimensions without having to change the configuration at each change-over;
  • Modularity: if the speed of the line does not allow perfect drying with a single station, it is possible to combine others in series, until the optimal result is obtained;
  • Simple installation: it can be mounted on pre-existing lines. It does not need dedicated elements and no specialized technicians are needed;
  • Low Costs: it is an economic alternative to all existing solutions, above all with limited energy consumption (indicatively from 1 to 2kW effective per station);
  • Extremely low maintenance: the system does not require special maintenance if not replacing the filter, when necessary.
  • Customizable: the shape of the final part of the 3 diffusers can be customized based on the shape of the packing to be dried, even with complex and particular shapes.
